Tapered Smoke Ceramic Table Lamp
This table lamp will contribute to the rich texture of your interior surroundings. The ceramic base was built using wheel thrown, white earthenware. It was then smoke-fired with hardwood, sawdust, and straw to achieve the swirling, outer space-like markings.
It’s petite in size, making it a perfect addition to a bedside table or intimate home library.

Clay: The ceramic base of this lamp is hand-built, white earthenware that is smoke fired in a steel barrel. The pots get buried in a combination of hardwood, sawdust and straw. The surface created on the bare clay is the result of a carbon rich environment inside the barrel - creating variegated “smoke” markings. The patterning on the base will not rub off but it is a “bare” surface meaning it could absorb liquids & oils, so handle with care!
Hardware: Solid, aged brass features are hand sanded by yours truly and sealed with specialty brass varnish to help slow tarnishing over time. The socket and lampshade harp are brass plated.
Custom tailored lamp shade: Dry Thistle, 100% linen. I make all shades custom for each lamp. Shade has spider attachment and includes a harp with 360 degree leveling kit. A finial is also included to secure your shade.
E-26 Socket with rotary On/Off. Fits A15 style LED bulb (included). Non-dimmable.
9’ Black fabric wrapped cord with vintage style plug. Great length for reaching plugs behind your bed, couch or other large furniture.

This is a bare clay base and may absorb hand oils and/or cleaning products. Clean with a damp, lint-free cloth & minimal water only.

All lamps ship directly from the studio of Emily Duke Studio LLC located in Wisconsin, USA. In-Stock items ship within 5 -7 days of ordering.
Standard shipping costs are the responsibility of the client/buyer and currently set at a flat rate of $200 per item. If the shipping cost is lower at the time of label generation, the client/buyer will be reimbursed. At this time, shipping is through FedEx or UPS. Each box will be fully insured and require a signature upon delivery.
Note: One lamp base + shade is shipped in two separate boxes. This guarantees the safety of both the ceramic lamp base and the delicate lamp shade. Every object shipped is always double boxed and carefully wrapped to ensure a safe arrival.
